St Francis Youth Group

This weekend is out winter retreat.  All the details are set and registration in.  Room assignments are made and we are all looking forward to a weekend at FaHoLo.

But, do you know what to pack?  Check out the suggested packing list.  Please note, you should not bring your cell phone.  Adult leaders will have theirs for emergency purposes.  Please leave all cell  phones at home.  Any cell phones that we see will be collected by the adults and returned immediately prior to our departure for home.

This Sunday we will expand our already previously planned session on crisis due to some recent events.

We will spend time looking at what causes us to feel our lives are overwhelming, in crisis, or otherwise out of our control.  We will also talk about how to effectively deal with those thoughts and feelings.  Not only will we have all our youth ministry staff and volunteers there, but some professionals (counselors and therapists) to help us in our discussion.

The session will take place in the school music room from 7-9 pm.

You will especially want to pay attention to the Special Events Page.  Several new things are listed there.  Hard copies of the permission forms will also be available on the cork line at  youth group.

That’s right, it is time for the winter retreat!

The permission form, health form, and fee are due by January 22.  You may want to turn things in early as we are expecting a crowd.  Forms are on the Special Events Page.

We’re back after our Christmas break and we’ve got great things in store.

This Sunday’s youth group is games night.  From Pretentious Christmas Carols to Bible Baseball you’ll be challenged and have plenty of time to catch up with friends you may not have seen over vacation.

Don’t forget about the winter retreat February 6-7.  Permission slips are due January 22.  They are found on the website on our Special Events page or in the youth room.
